Consulting on the plan
These are the documents required (under Regulation 16) to support the local planning authority in undertaking a consultation to establish whether the plan meets the basic conditions before it goes to examination.

A community update meeting was held on January 14th 2026 in Clavering Village Hall. A presentation was made by members of the Steering Group, primarily explaining the process for selecting sites for development. There was also the opportunity for questions to be asked, to meet members of the Steering Group and provide aspirations for projects that may be funded through the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). The documents below are from that event.
3 community engagement events were held in the summer of 2025. A survey to seek views on the design aspects of housing development was available for attendees to complete. The document below provides a summary of those responses.

A survey was completed by people who attended the consultation events in March 2024. The Neighbourhood Plan Working Party delivered a subsequent paper survey to all residential abodes in October 2024 requesting input from the community.
Parish Character - Natural landscape & built environment
These documents will provide us with a robust evidence base to support the development of policy within the emerging Neighbourhood Plan. In particular, it gives us a detailed assessment of the sensitivity and capacity of the local landscape to accommodate housing development.
The following were produced by Liz Lake Associates (Landscape Architects) in April 2025. The Appendix shows the Local Parish Landscape Character Areas.
Housing Needs
A housing needs survey was delivered to all households in the village in Spring 2024. A summary of the results (compiled by RCCE) are available below.
